In Memoriam: The Age of the Coreys
News of the death of Corey Haim at age 38 this morning stunned contemporary moms who grew up watching Haim in 1980s-era films like The Lost Boys and License to Drive, in which he starred with another Corey, Corey Feldman. No name is more closely associated with the 1980s than the name Corey. In addition to "The Coreys" (Haim and Feldman), there was also the pop star Corey Hart, with his ubiquitous hit song "Sunglasses at Night." In fact, so much does Corey represent the

Alright, Oscar suspense is over, as the Academy announced their winners on Sunday night. With that done, we decided to look at a few of the categories again, this time with an eye for names, and bestow Name Awards. Our first step: decide what to name such an award. Avatar is beyond a hit. On Oscar Eve -- Avatar is up for 9 awards -- we thought it a perfect time to look at Avatar's naming choices. James Cameron is famous for detail, so there's no chance these choices were made lightly.
