If Snooki Has a Boy, She's All Set In the Name Department. See Her Selections...
Snooki, star of MTV's Jersey Shore

Snooki has a long way to go before her first child arrives later this year, but she's already done some homework in the name department. At a Jersey Shore party this week, she revealed some of the picks she has in mind for her little meatball.

The reality TV star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, said that her name selections have changed since she first talked baby names prior to meeting her fiance, Jionni Lavalle, and becoming pregnant. While she had been set on the name Frankie a couple years back, now the boy names on her short list are:

  • Jionni Jr. (meaning "evening")
  • Lorenzo ("from Laurentum," a city near Rome)
  • Tommy ("twin")
  • Tony ("priceless")

And while she was wild about the ever-popular Isabella--sharing her plans to call the girl Bella--last night she said she has no names in mind for a girl at this point.

Of course, if she's looking for inspiration, she should look no further than our own post of favorite Italian and Italian-American baby names. Sofia, Giulia and Martina are three of the names mentioned.

Snooki is currently filming a Jersey Shore spin-off series for MTV with her best friend JWoww. We're looking forward to seeing whether baby name talk will be a big part of the show instead of the drinking and chaos we're used to from the Jersey Shore. What a difference

What do you think of Snooki's boy names so far? Are any of them names you'd consider? And please offer any girl name suggestions in the comment section below. It sure sounds like she needs help in that area.
