Christina Aguilera and fiance Matt Rutler welcomed their baby girl on Saturday, People reports, and she's got a name worthy of a song: Summer Rain Rutler.

"So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world," Aguilera tweeted on Monday morning.

This is Aguilera's second child --- 6-year-old Max Liron's dad is her ex-husband Jordan Bratman --- and like with Max, she's keeping up with trends without going for something too popular. Likely, growing up with the name Christina, which hovered around the top 20 for most of the '70s and '80s, made her seek out something less common. Max has been a hot name for the past couple of decades, peaking at 96 in 2011 shortly after Aguilera's son's birth.

Summer didn't appear in the top 1000 baby names list until the '70s, when nature-related names were all the rage (see: the Phoenix family, whose youngest daughter is, you guessed it, Summer). Its popularity grew far beyond flower children, though, and reached its peak in 1997 and 1998, at #131.

The word "summer," according to Merriam Webster, can be traced back to the Old English sumor, the High German and Old Norse sumer (all meaning summer), and even the Sanskrit sama (season).

How do you like the name Summer Rain?

Summer Rain is quite pretty. However, Summer Rutler is rhymey and the Rs run together.. Sounds like they forgot to say the first and last names together without the middle.
