'Vampire Diaries' Star Candice Accola Welcomes Her First Baby With a Sweet Grandma Name

Candice Accola and Joe King

Lovely news for Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola! The 28-year-old actress posted a sweet photo to Instagram today that announced the arrival of her little one -- and this baby girl has a beautiful name, to boot ...

Welcome to the world, Florence May King!

Love that name! What do you think? In a world where celebrity baby names have always been a bit -- um -- nontraditional, this one stands out a bit with its old-fashioned charm, no? It's been said that classic names are making a bit of a comeback lately, too. Perhaps this will inspire a few more little Florences in the near future.

And besides, she's in good (millennial) company -- singer Florence Welch of the band Florence + the Machine is a pretty cool modern chick to share a name with.

Vampire Diaries co-creator Julie Plec told E! News recently that Candice will be gone for five episodes of the hit CW show (eps 16–20) -- but fear not, Caroline fans! It's been reported that our girl will be back for the final two episodes of the season.

This is Candice's first child with her husband, Fray guitarist Joe King (Joe has two daughters from a previous marriage). And we could not be happier for this sweet couple! All the best to you, Candice and Joe. Enjoy every moment.
