Kelly Clarkson Gives Birth to Her Baby Boy & His Name Is One for the Books

Kelly Clarkson baby name

After waiting and waiting for "a moment like this," the time has finally come: Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their second child on April 14. Baby boy joins the couple's almost 2-year-old, River Rose, along with Brandon's kids Savannah, 14, and Seth, 8. And, just in case you're wondering, Kelly Clarkson's baby name for her son is quite dapper -- and perfect for a future musical prince.

(No, she didn't name her son "Prince," in case you're wondering.)

Taking to Twitter, Kelly shared a simple and sweet baby announcement with fans welcoming ... Remington Alexander Blackstock to the world.

"Remington," I love it!

Doesn't it sound like the name of a character in Game of Thrones? (For those who don't know, Kelly and Brandon are HUGE fans of the TV show -- and even made the most perfect Game of Thrones inspired holiday card you'll ever see.)

Seeing as Kelly and fam are #TeamStark, I can imagine young Remington wielding a sword to help reclaim Winterfell, fight off White Walkers, and overtake King's Landing -- gaining power of the Iron Throne.

(Eh, maybe we're getting ahead of ourselves.)

What's important is that Remington is here. Congrats, Kelly!

Pretty sure giving a child the name of a firearms manufacturer is the opposite of a Game of Thrones name. Their naming style is Modern South, not fantasy-flavored at all.

I have a son named Remington. He will be 18 this year. ☺
I think it's a great name.

Totally agree. Don't get a Game of Thrones vibe AT ALL.
